About Me
Hello! I’m Rosa and I love creating illustrations and making things on Bidjigal and Gadigal Country. My work is a result of my love for all things colourful, musical and fun.
I’ve always loved being creative – illustrating characters, comics and portraits for pocket money while I dreamt about being like Quentin Blake or Eric Carle. I’ve since become a graphic designer and art director (and in a former life was a singer-songwriter who appeared in Rolling Stone magazine with some radio airplay along the way).
When I’m not illustrating, find me watching RuPaul’s Drag Race, hanging with my daughter Parker, lazing around with our cat Morris or playing in a band with my husband Mike.

Destination Illustration
A course and ongoing mentorship program with US illustrator Becky Simpson, on developing a style and voice, and navigating the world of illustration.
Intro to Children's Book Illustration, University of Newcastle
A short course on distilling manuscripts, storyboarding for an author and creating final illustrations for children’s books, along with developing a portfolio to approach publishers.
Graphic Design, Art Direction, Creative Direction, Conceptual and Creative Strategy and Copywriting
Since 2005, I have worked as a Graphic Designer, regularly utilising skills in print and digital design, corporate identity, advertising, campaign development, illustration, copywriting, creative direction, and creative strategy.
Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design, Enmore Design Centre
3 year course studying all facets of commercial graphic design, with in-depth focus on art direction, illustration, packaging, typography, web design and photography.

I love being a musician. I’d love to illustrate album art, tour posters, merchandise or even collaborate with a motion designer for a music video.
Packaging
Commission me to illustrate a label for your Australian whisky, wine, beer or spirit label! Got candles? Stationery! Hand lotion? Toothpaste? If it’s in packaging, I want in!
Murals & Environmental
I love the idea that something I had created could change the mood of its surroundings, create a sense of community or have some sort of social commentary. Besides, who wouldn’t want to see their work 2 stories high?!
